Just curious how many users of Freebitco.in that are also users of the forum here have won the top prize in these 334 lottery rounds.I am just curious to find out how people with less than 1000 tickets win seems a lot of times the highest prize of the lottery which I think it should be otherwise,it should be the user for example who has 2.000.000 lottery tickets to have more chances than the one who owns less than 1000.
It will take a bit of searching but I can remember a number of lottery winners posting about on the forum. Maybe between 5 and 10 of them. it's not really surprising that smaller ticket holders win because there are a lot more of them. What really matters is the number of tickets they all hold totalled together could be more than the one guy with 2,000,000 tickets.
You reminded me that recently someone actually went the trouble of downloading the ticket file, opening in a spreadsheet and sorting by number of tickets and they came up with this:
if you break ticket holders into groups you get this:
group with
1 to 500 tkts ~20% tkts;
500-3,000 - ~10%;
3,000-5,000 ~45%;
5,000-10,000 ~10%;
10,000-100,000 ~10%;
100,000+ ~5%.
So even though individually whales have better chances than other players
as a group they are less likely to win than any other group.
The largest group is people with 3-5K tickets and we see a lot of them among the winners.
