I dont get the point why everyone is obsessed with the internet shutting down - seriously speaking, if that would happen, then every service being provided that depends on a working internet will also shut down - there will be total chaos in a country and in such a war like situation, crypto is not the primary concern, but people's lives are. I think a true cryptocurrency shouldn't totally rely on the internet in that manner because the internet isn't really decentralized. A true cryptocurrency shouldn't be based on centralized infrastructure otherwise that can be consider a point of failure for the cryptocurrency.

I think some sort of crypto that is backed by physical assets will continue to operate locally without the internet and could operate like xander or similar apps. This shouldn't be too difficult to create. Infact, existing apps could be modified and used for that purpose.
