they don't really care about newbies and followers they just want to get personal gain and until now it's still very hard to stop this because of the habit of every greedy person who will do anything for his profit.
but it also really can't be completely blamed on influencers because indeed they won't get anything if there is no fomo that follows it. the problem is because the power of influencers in making them believe completely even if it is a trap.
Yeah, I have seen some influencers who are all just copy pasting what was given to them and asked to do. They never bother about the credibility of what they are promoting. Probably they will check for obvious abusing and security related things like whether content is anything related to terrorism or porn then I guess that they will be ready to publish so that their paycheck will be ready. You have a point however people need to also learn how to protect themselves, if influencers exist is because people are giving them attention and they believe what they say, and if companies are sending them money to promote a product then it is obvious that companies are receiving additional revenue from those streamers, so this is simple if people want this to stop they need to stop watching them, something that you and I know it is never going to happen.
