we hear less about ICOs than a few years ago.
When the "money-grabbers" who used to run these schemes saw that the name ICO was branded with several bad terms they changed the names subsequently to some similar sounding but different other names like, STO>ITO which were security tokens but the flaw is that a crypto token is not a security, in other words it is a fake name.
Then came the IDO and IEO. All these are the same hype induced pump and dump schemes. Very few specially the first few ICOs ever have been somewhat successful in running a project.
I Know that several website exist where we can find information about the next ICO, but who is going to invest in some of them in the following weeks ? Which one and why ?
The gradual demise of ICOs led to the ICO aggregator websites also shutting down and pulling the plug. Now they have sites for NFTs and staking pools. It is all a who-is-the-first type of game here. While this can be both good and bad, you are less likely to find any ICOs worthy of putting your money in.
You can in that sense take part in the current hypes. But keep in mind that these are hypes and have no long term value, the only coin that has any is bitcoin.
