Wow! Since the merit system was introduced on January 24, 2018, all members have sent over 1 million merits! This is undoubtedly a noticeable milestone for the forum. I'm glad the system is working properly.

As far as I understand, if a merit source is inactive on the forum for a long time, his sMerit bank does not replenish, gradually decreases and probably becomes empty, so he needs to boost it to the maximum allowed value by sending merits again.
The monthly merit source allocation is set manually by theymos, although he likely used some algorithm to calculate each sources allocation. Each sources allocation is not going to change without some kind of intervention by theymos.
