TBH i rarely seen that crypto specialist were talking about TRON. This outdated blockchain was over valued at this moment. I don't wanna say a lot but you can see the truth that already published by CMC about how good/bad the performance of TRON right now. We are entering into the new trend but i never saw that a new project that will be developing a platform related to the NFT and metaverse were coming to the TRON.

And if we are talking about user-base you need to know that tron has 2 times more traffic than ETH (in term of daily TX), 40 times more than "innovative cardano", 100 times more than "innovative polkadot"
There is 36 B USDT on TRX while on ETH 34 B, BSC 3B so USDT hodlers chose TRX to hold their assets rather than ETH. Where are "innovative chains"? ohh no one use them.
You are absolutely right sir, I support your reason for this matter actually. Holding TRX compared to ETh is much really better than ETH due to in terms of their price difference we have a big chance to earn big in the future on TRX if we hold them in the long term, just simple as that. In fact, I hold few of it.
Nowadays Tron is getting more attention than ethereum because of its transaction speed and processing speed. It is possible to process more than 2000 transactions within a second at Tron network where ethereum chain supports max 20 transactions. A vast number of transactions with zero network fees get attracted developers more.
But, I don't think Tronx will be able to touch the Ether market cap anymore. Cause you know Ethereum blockchain is more popular and decentralized than Tron network, it is more flexible and functional to develop unique decentralized applications. Ethereum network gives unique functionality to deploy tokens over their blockchain. only low fees and speed are not enough to attract the dev, functionalities play a vital role to live in long run.
