ICOs aren't safe, the project can just walk away with your money and often they want you to give KYC. IDOs are more secure and they don't require KYC, they are managed by smart contracts. My favorite IDO platform is Skyward Finance. I've found some real gems on there, like OCT and Paras. OCT for example is competing with Polkadot and it's really under the radar. I easily doubled my money so far plus I can stake OCT in Ref Finance for additional rewards.
