That depends on what you mean by being a global currency. If by saying a global currency, you mean that every country around the world is going to declare Bitcoin a legal tender, then I don’t really think that’s going to happen. As for me I don’t really see the need for Bitcoin being declared a legal tender in all the countries before we can start seeing it as a global currency.
As long as people can have access to this currency from anywhere they are around the world, and you are also able to send and receive money from any corner of the world, then Bitcoin has been a global currency from the start. There are no restrictions that are attached to making use of Bitcoin, no matter who you are and where you are from, you’re always free to have access to it. that’s what I call a global currency.
