Last time i checked, you had to do KYC in order to get your BAT tokens, which is the opposite what Brave browser is trying to do with their privacy agenda. Is that still the case? For me that is one of the most unappealing feature of BAT/Brave partnership.
unfortunately, that's a yes, both gemini and uphold will ask KYC as part of their requirements. but there's advantage using gemini account. if in case you will withdraw your BAT from them, there's no withdrawal fee, if you don't want to exchange within their platform. if you want to send it to exchanges like binance, you can send your BAT for free (remember to choose the ERC20 network). with uphold, i am reading that they are charging high fees.
