I can't remember anymore the opening odds for MVP but I'm sure Curry is not even in the top 3.
I am also trying to remember the first odds when I shared the updated one. IIRC, yes he is not even in the top 4 because it was Luka, Nikola, Durant, and Giannis in that position.
But they will have to keep these stats if they want to stay on top. Because there are players below them that are pushing their limits to snatch that MVP award away from them. One of those players is Paul George. He is healthy and plays 35+ minutes per game and shoulders everything for the Clippers' offense. Now at the top 8 of the MVP race averaging 26/7/5 at 29.6 odds to win it.
If his consistency stays and avoided an injury or a health protocol then he will overtake most of the players at the top 5.
I can only remember Luka at the top pick for the MVP at the beginning and true Curry is not even in the top 3 or top 5.
And speaking of Warriors, no Curry, no Draymond? no problem, Jordan Poole and Wiggins carry the team against the Detroit Pistons.
It was not an easy game though, and I don't think that the Warriors has covered the initial spread of -6.5. But still impressive win without their 2 superstars in the roster.
Yes, it is expected that Jordan Poople and Wiggins will carry the load for the Warriors in absence of Curry. This is just a glimpse on how dangerous they really are, still play high level defense even without Draymond and then shot their 3's without Curry.
But it was very close game, Detroit really trying to get a win. But as the announcer said in the beginning, this team is used to winning and that's what they did here, a hard grind win.
