I don't think bitcoin is necessary for a new logo, because the current logo is already worldwide, almost like the dollar logo, everyone knows. And also what's wrong with the current bitcoin logo, I'm afraid if we ask it to be changed it could affect the popularity of bitcoin. So in my opinion there is no need to create a new logo.
