Some may fear that a government-issued cryptocurrency would eventually supplant Bitcoin. This is absurd. It merely substitutes a blockchain for the wire transfer of a fiat currency. No matter who create the cryptocurrency it will stay to be called altcoins. For crypto community, bitcoin itself already to be a core. No matter what coin is, in exchange will be paired into BTC, fiat and will always that. Simple thing to say about it is, no altcoins that can replace bitcoin as long there are no problem with network, and until now the chance is really small.
