The weekly jackpot is shared equally with every winning ticket. This week 1 winning tickets are drawn — winners get $160.7784. A ticket equals to transaction identifier (txid). Winners are chosen algorithmically using Mersenne Twister Random Number Generator from an associative array of txid's with their matching BSV addresses (Paymails). The service provider subtracts 6 % fee from the total sum. The service fee is used to seed the next draw, and to cover the operating costs.

The term Lottery is used as the overarching term for a game of chance in which a participant taps on something (often numbers or combinations of numbers) and these are subsequently determined independently and randomly. In total, there are hundreds of such lotteries, which can differ greatly in their way from each other. Those numbers that are drawn in a lottery are called "lottery numbers". These are therefore the numbers that in combination lead to the win of the jackpot.

Lotteries have a long tradition in many countries. In the Netherlands and Italy, gambling has already started around the end of the Middle Ages and can already be regarded as the forerunner of today's number lottery. Various variations of this game have emerged around many countries in the following years. For some periods of time, some countries and the church have made gambling illegal. However, over the years it has become one of the favorite games for people across different age groups and other backgrounds. By now, most countries have made gambling legal again. However, gambling and lotteries are regulated by authorities to make sure it is safe to play.

The word lottery has a long history in various languages as well. It was borrowed in 1550 from the early New High German (Old German) lotterei (for "raffle of winnings") and in 1570 from the Dutch loterij. It is defined as gambling in the form of a draw of winnings and rivets.
