In Greek Omicron, symbol O.
Omicron /ˈɒmɪkrɒn, oʊˈmaɪkrɒn/ (uppercase Ο, lowercase ο, literally 'small o': όμικρον < ὂ μικρόν - ò mikrón, micron meaning 'small' in contrast to omega) is the 15th letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals it has a value of 70 (pure coincidence). This letter is derived from the Phoenician letter ayin.
Ayin (also ayn or ain; transliterated ⟨ʿ⟩) is the sixteenth letter (1+6 = 7, pure coincidence) of the Semitic abjads, including Phoenician ʿayin Phoenician ayin.svg, Hebrew ʿayin ע, Aramaic ʿē Ayin.svg, Syriac ʿē ܥ, and Arabic ʿayn ع (where it is sixteenth in abjadi order only).
