It will reduce the congestion in Eth's blockchain and could result in lesser fees. If it could beat the fast transaction per second of Solana, then I see a very bright future for eth. It could potentially hit 10K$, or maybe easily hit that mark. Aside from that, its phase 0 were already been deployed and the other 2 will surely be next year or so.
Absolutely right, aside from having a high transaction fees eth also experience too much congestion which is making transaction to be slow and take time to confirm but with the coming of eth 2.0, all this issues will be resolve and make the network work flawlessly again, eth is the most used smart contract blockchain with a very wide ecosystem, am sure things will go back to normal once the new network is launched and eth will keep leading as always.
