Barcelona are in a really troubling situation now in their group. Maybe they are still at the second position but they are only two points ahead of Benfica before the last matches. Benfica would defeat D. Kyiv easily most probably as D. Kyiv have no aim left in the CL. In that situation, Barcelona will have to defeat Bayern Munich away. Barcelona have started recovering as of Xavi's coming and they have made some changes in their game plan. But I wonder if Bayern Munich will let them win even though they are the leader of the group for certain.
Barca got themselves into the situation by drawing against Benfica. Had they won, they would have already qualified for the next round. Now they have to win against Bayern. Even a draw would not be enough if Benfica wins against Kiev, because then they would be equal on points, but in the direct comparison Barca would have the disadvantage.
Exactly! Barcelona should have played much better to be able to defeat Benfica and secure their place in the group stage. But they just got a 0-0 draw and made things even more difficult for themselves. We know how disciplined Bayern Munich are like always. Even if they guarantee something or not, they don't play like they don't care the remaining game(s). Barcelona need to have some luck also in that game.
