Trade and Hold are both good, however, in choosing spot trading is much better compared to future in my own views and opinion only.
Because maybe I had been doing trade in the spot and so far so good. Though, I never try to use future trading, but I am currently much more comfortable in spot trading rather in Future trading.

Trading still depends on your skills. You could do spot or even futures depending on your target profit as well as the capability of your chosen coin. Some coins are good for long-term holding while there are also coins with high volatility which are worth trading. Things will also depend on your target time frame.

Both have risks plus yes benefits. It depends upon what you are expecting out of. Usually when you go for a trading, you at least should have enough knowledge on the market and basic analytical skills to handle it in order to take a good profit besides usual losses that everyone goes through. But yes holding as well needs the same skills to watch the market and take profits when you hold as well. Your patience is the other key element to manage both.
