Is ckpool only solo, or do we have the capability to merge/pool with others - don't see it. Got 1 machine on solo for now.
I closed the shared pool a couple of years ago due to lack of interest, so only the solo pool exists now.

What SoftWare was used? ...

We would be happy to open it again on our infrastructure and keep it open.

Ckpool of course, a special fork was created to not require an external database and do all generation transaction payments.
Here is its now defunct thread.

Even ZERO fee wasn't enough to attract enough miners to keep it alive. Be happy to run it again if you want to donate the server resources. Once it's up and running it's self-maintaining so requires minimal attention, but be aware there is nothing more depressing than a shared pool with so little hashrate that it never finds a block, and having a handful of dedicated users that desperately try to get other people on board and further hashrate unsuccessfully over and over again.

Con ...

Was this the OpenSource Code that was releaesed a while back from you? Or a different one altogether?

I am more than happy to set aside a VPS in our CWI InfraStructure and run it until such time it doesn't. If it is easy to setup the Pool, it can be done reasonably quickly and I can allocate the resources this week to do so.

It is a sad thing to see such good SoftWare run and not be utilized readily, but the longevity of such a Pool should remain, even if the cost of the resources are continual - costs which we are willing to bear at CWI if this SoftWare will see life again.

Let's see how it goes - Can't hurt to try can it?

Just show me the Git and we can see when we can start it this week.
