Don't you think it's more likely that 1xbit and 1xbet are both owned by 1xCorp and it's naturally in their best interest to publicly distance themselves from each other since their combined reputations is worse than each of their reputations on it's own? Plus, it shields the owners legally.

Of course it would be logical to keep the two companies separate so that their opinion does not get mixed up. I would certainly do that too. However, we can only speculate about it, because there is simply no evidence that it is so.
Yeah they're separate companies owned by the same people. Which is not what your stance was a few posts ago when you were trying to distance 1xbit from 1xbet because of all the scummy stuff that's come to light about the owners of 1xbet....who also own 1xbit as well as a bunch of other casinos that are known for not paying winners.
