This is already understood. I was putting the baseline on the top $$ I am looking for. Obviously I will do my own research and check supply but that doesn't change the fact that I don't want to spend anything more than $5 per coin.

Taking "price per coin" as indicator is the worse idea you can have. "price per coin" does not say nothing - if coin is undervalued/overvalued, new/old ... nothing.
Its like saying:
I'll not invest in gold because I can have only 5 ounce for my 10000$ that I want to spend for investment, I'll rather buy silver because i can buy 88 times more. Or you know why? I'll rather buy steel because I can buy tones. Or you know why? I'll rather buy manure (cow shit) because I can have dozens of tones for my 10 000$. Good luck with this strategy XD
