CBDCs are not crypto competitors its fiats with extra restrictions and surveillance. Nothing more. If there was no need to fight bitcoin with fiats there wont be need to fight bitcoin with CBDCs.
Maybe when BTC will be big enough to thread usd as reserve currency. Maybe that day we will see some higher voltage on the btc/government line.
