It will take some time but it will certainly get there. More and more projects choose to build on solana nowadays. It has a lot of room to grow, it might actually be a good candidate to compete head to head with ethereum.
Ethereum is going through a hard time due to very high transaction fees and projects such as Cardano, Solana and Binance are booming. When Ethereum 2 is introduced, that could change. Probably someday the $1000 level will be reached, but I don't think it will happen too soon.
