It all depends how the the components are laid out on the pcb of the hub. On the gekko hub, sidehack put details on so you could see what ports shared with inductor(?). So you can adjust the speed and inturn the amperage to match it.
gotcha, ya i think im def getting the gekko hub. it says it gets 6amps for each of the bottom 3 pairs, or 3amp per port. If you only run 1 stick in each pair, will you get 6amps? I was reading on here that if you have 5amps of power, you can max these sticks out to 800mhz, 550 gh/s. So this hub would be great unless it maxes out at 3amps. either way, 3amps is better than almost every other hub out there.
Theoretically you could pull 6amps per pair yes. BUT none of the components are rated as such. Usb sockets are only rated for 3amp max. After that its probably going to be dangerous. My gekko hub is running 6 sticks at 520m and thats as far as im going to push it. Its about 2.8amp per port (if i calculated correctly). So i have a little headroom.
