Using the lightning network to avoid the unnecessary and huge amount of transaction fees is a good choice so that people would spend less whenever they need to. In addition, the transactions would be faster compared to using other networks which is nice as well most especially having it as payment method given that btc is already approved as a legal tender in your country.
