Then congrats to Verstappen on his championship after a superb journey! I like Hamilton too but I really wanted to see something changing in the season we've just left behind.
I wanted a change and a new winner, but at the same time, my preferred champion would have been 'anyone but Verstappen'. He's a really fast driver, but he just seems like a dick, in the same way that Schumacher used to. If all drivers had had a chance, I'd have probably liked Kimi or Alonso to win the title.
From now on, the biggest thing I'll be wondering is going to be whether the other teams and drivers will be approaching the level of Verstappen and Hamilton in the next season.
My hope is that the change in regulations work as intended, and we see much closer racing, much more overtaking, and a lot of teams able to fight it out at the front. My expectation though is that one team will interpret the regulations better than the others, and we'll end up with a dominant team again. Most likely, yet again, Mercedes.
