No question that the gaming industry will follow this route. Crypto is the best thing around and every industry wants its share from it and earning while playing a game that you would ordinarily be playing for free. I guess this is a good idea and I noticed some games are in this direction now.
By saying
"no question", do you mean gaming companies will follow the same? I don't see it that way honestly. Most gaming companies might not follow what Ubisoft does but rather they might just accept crypto payments on their game. Applying crypto directly to the game is innovative but not a game changer as there are now lots of blockchain games that dominate the world of crypto games.
If ever they will follow, I will support them but don't expect they will.
