I'm trying to picture this moment 20 years from now on: Loyce's kids being grown-up adults and him still saying he is late because he is putting them to bed

So you're saying they'll never go to bed on their own?

Side story -- Loyce, you are blessed! For 2 years now they go to bed at same time.
If that's what it looks like from the outside, it can't be right. We adjust the clock by an hour twice a year. They used to sleep much later, which took a lot of effort to change to the current time. Foxpup posts at 7:20 PM in my (winter) time (pun intended), which usually means they're half way in bed.
I can't put mine to bed before 1am lately

If you have any parenting advice I'm all ears.
It kinda depends on their age

I can already tell you it took a lot of work to get where we are now.
They're monsters I love them!
(I told my wife I can give him some beer to make him sleep earlier but, curiously, she disagreed. Perhaps I'll never understand women.)
It's rum, right?
First, Don't you find it strange that his kids go to bed at the same time all the time?
You're actually describing every parent's dream

(not to mention the fact that going to bed at 6 pm is not normal ... especially when it comes to young active organisms).
You're
an hour off.
It's actually quite amazing: we used to barely have time together because the kids kept us busy most of the evening. Nowadays, after the kids are in bed we literally have
hours left!
Bro, I'll answer you tomorrow, as I'm not drunk enough yet.

Now you're talking!
