If we look at the Atletico Madrid - Manchester United matchup, we can say that it is going to be a very competitive matchup for sure. Because I don't see a big difference between these teams now. Maybe Atletico Madrid's form lately hasn't been better than Manchester United. But if we take their general performances into account, it is more visible that they are close to each other. If I'm to favour one of them, my choice would be Manchester United.

Several times Atletico Madrid's steps under Diego Simeone in the Champions League had to be stopped by the team that Cristiano Ronaldo defended, while still at Real Madrid or Juventus. Uniquely Ronaldo was able to dominate the goals scored against Atletico Madrid. Will Diego Simeone break that, or vice versa Ronaldo will add to the nightmare for the 51-year-old coach.
Right now good thing happening for Atletico Madrid is we have 2 months break and then match is going to be played between these team with current form Atletico Madrid surely going to lose this match and kick out from Champions League without any big problem.
In last five matches they are already lost 4 and with this now they are slipping very badly in Spanish League and Manchester United having some better situation after having new coach and Ronaldo factor is also against them, so they need to do some better strategy before this match and having good fight against this mighty English team for having spot into next round of Champions League. Diego Simeone is having very good time with Atletico Madrid for years but still some good things need to be done.
