I think we can all discuss all the fundamental reasons of security and decentralization etc etc but the proof is in the history of Bitcoin.

Never been successfully hacked,,, Never refused or given back,,, And if I wanted today to spend or sell my BTC I could do that much easier than any other altcoin.

This for me is reason enough for any newbie to choose BTC over anything else. Trust is something not rational correct?
