Are the Merits for some sources increased? I thought that 1,000 merits per month was the maximum, but based on this topic ---> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topsend, @DdmrDdmr sent about 1,700 Merits.

You also do not account for the distributions of your own smerit, which are accumulated at the merit sources. I have a maximum of 1000 merit, but this does not prevent me from distributing 1200-1300 merit every month. Most likely, DdmrDdmr had his own accumulations of smerit, which he decided to distribute once.
