To be safe, I personally advice especially to the novice to keep some safe distance to new projects or coins especially in the memecoin category even if it may look promising and tempting to indulge to avoid losing some precious funds in the future. But if there's anything new that is based on DeFi then I think that it's much better to invest on those said projects but always do remember the risks and its volatility involved and only invest what you can afford to lose.
If you want, there are also some other coins that is also promising and already proved its existence in the industry to give you competitive returns and profits along the way, it may not be a new project or coin but it's considered safe to invest.
