To be honest, I don't think this is a fair comparison.

While we're on the analogy of transportation, I'll add mine: paper wallets are like walking. It worked thousands of years ago, and it will work thousands of years from now. Even though there are risks involved, and even though there are much more modern and faster systems available, walking is the one thing that will always be around.
