I know that Bitcoin has become more known and trusted by many people but I still see many popular websites don't accept bitcoin like amazon. I'm only seeing bitcoin is mostly used for illicit activites or as an investment. Why Bitcoin isn't adopted yet in most legimate websites?
Bitcoin is not widely accepted everywhere and that's the major reason why we do not see each and every store accepting bitcoin. However, if you notice that bitcoin adoption has increased a lot in the past year. Institutes are ready to accept it and it is being recognized at the government level. Soon you will see Amazon and other big stores accepting bitcoin.
Regarding legal issues that prevent large merchants from accepting Bitcoin payments, because we know the majority of countries in the world still
have not legalized Bitcoin as a means of payment. Most countries are neutral by only accepting Bitcoin as a digital asset, that's why we are still hard
to find merchants that accept Bitcoin payments. But it's only a matter of time until the big merchants accept Bitcoin, because I'm starting to see
every year the Bitcoin adoption process is getting faster. There is even a country in El Salvador that has started to dare to legalize Bitcoin as
a legal tender, this is a good sign for the future of Bitcoin, because in the next few years more and more countries will follow in El Salvador's footsteps.
For now we just need to be patient and if we want to buy something with Bitcoin, we just need to convert the Bitcoin we have into fiat.
