If you measure the yield return of bitcoin since the first halving which happened in 2013, you'll see that
on average, it's getting 180% greater every year. That's more than thrice and a little less than four times. However, I've bolded that part for a reason: There's no evidence it will continue behaving like that in the market, but averagely it's considered safe in my opinion.
