If you look at the distribution of points between the two teams, the Grizzlies did a great job compared to the Lakers.
For the Grizzlies, they have the following playing with a big contribution.
Jackson Jr. 21
Anderson 14
Morant 16
Bane 23
Konchar 12
Clarke 14..
While the LA Lakers, only a few players scored a double-digit.
James 35
Reaves 16
Horton-Tucker 13
Ellington 16
I don't know how you can predict that it will be a even matchup when Grizzlies has been facing tougher opponents and winning while Lakers have a winning streak, it was against a low key team.
It was Lebron and Monk again but against a very good team, it will not be enough. It will take a lot of team chemistry and consistency which the Lakers lacks of.
No, what I meant was Grizzlies have a very good squad that plays together, but the Lakers have very good individual talent. That's why I thought that we'll get to see an even matchup. But once again it's proved that teamplay is more important than having individual better players. Because if one of those players fails to perform, it will heavily impact the result of the game unlike playing a team-oriented game.
Ok I got your point man, and yeah, I have to agree with you, it just shows that the games is more important than individual talent, even the greatest of them all, Michael Jordan acknowledge that.
So if you look at the Grizzlies, Ja Morant didn't score more than he need to, but still they won lopsided because most of his team mates scored double digits.
