I think bitcoin may be a fix to those damages.
As it flattens financial relationship between individuals from different countries, it will be easier (when adoption grows) for everyone to buy something in another country online or when travelling. Fiat currency conversion fees are usually high, and there might also be taxes. If both parties are using bitcoin directly, financial relationships between people from different countries might become easier, faster and cheaper.
Somehow it may make globalization easier for everyone.
