Barcelona decision to appoint Koeman as coach was the biggest mistake from laporta which made Barcelona slump this season, even though before they knew that Koeman had often treated his players badly and it ended up causing divisions in the team.
Right now Xavi actually has to get quite a hard work to improve conditions for Barcelona and get rid of all the style of play left by Koeman, Xavi work is getting tougher due to the financial problems faced by Barcelona today, so of course Xavi must be able to maximize the existing players and don't expect too much if Barcelona will bring in great players as happened in the past.
However, I am quite impressed with Xavi's actions during his time at Barcelona, because he is willing to carry quite a heavy burden. It's better for Xavi to stay at Barcelona and I believe that gradually Barcelona's players can truly match what Xavi expects as a new generation of El Barca.
