Interestingly it is nearly 5 bitcoins worth nowadays considering it's closer to 40k each then 50k each. And yes, people who are wealthy will always out gamble the people who are just getting sponsorship. If you are given that money then you do not know how that money was earned and for you it is fake money and you will gamble accordingly and your wagering will not be that big for too long of a time, it will be big for a while but that's about it.

Whereas when you are whale of your own making, then you know how you earned it and you know life before you were wealthy as well and you know how precious money is so you may still gamble it away, but at least you will be very careful with it as well. Otherwise you know what the risks are and you know where you will end up if you become poor again, hence why you are careful when you are gambling.
