DeFi is still more like a failed experiment, 80% of DeFi projects are unreliable, they have weak security and they are more hack friendly, they claim to be decentralized but instead they aren't showing any decentralized motives, the only DeFi projects I trust are not up to five and I choose those DeFi projects because they are more than just DeFi like many new DeFi projects so far, I don't care much about where DeFi is headed, I'm just going to keep picking the good eggs out from the bad eggs, hopeful in future DeFi projects will actually become fully decentralized and more secured
I would probably not go as far as to call it a failed project. Some DeFi, which can be regarded as trustworthy and secure, are really doing most of the legwork in the DeFi crypto world. Definitely there are also a lot of scam DeFi, but only due to how easy it is to build DeFi on smart contracts. But you can always tell who the serious DeFi providers are. DeFi, just like altcoins have had a bad start, but then again, which new tech can be called perfect?
It is getting better,
It was kind of just Hectic at first and you can see that in Uniswap, and the lack of value other than PancakeSwap Clones really.
I'm not sure people realize that PancakeSwap is a very useful Tool, like a Swiss Army Knife, and not just another Currency or Project, it is like an All-In-One thing that does not exist Elsewhere, the DAO allows for Governance, but PancakeSwap is the first of something that can actually being DeFi, with the AMM features, and Burns, Lottery, etc, etc.
If we look at the Market we can say that the Less there is for Sale, the more expensive it gets, Rarity,
So if we then look at what can help that apart from Burns we can see that having Coins and Tokens "Locked" or "Frozen" does that, but people may not want to just Lock and Freeze for Proof of Stake Rewards, this is inflationary and not the best way as PoS has proven since PeerCoin, it can work but usually it becomes a small group of people guarding something jealously, that ages like Milk.
If I can Lock my Tokens in a Mechanism by which they are then moved around and I earn from Trade Value, and Market Gains, now I have Incentive for the Lock or Freeze, now when I put my money in, the Rube Goldberg Machine goes into action and I watch until it comes out the other end.
And the more things we have that do that, and give reasons for people to not be weighing down the Market with Sales, the better Prices we will see.
