Hold will only likely turn gold for you if you hold the good coins not those that will fade away in months to few years, also I prefer building a portfolio a year to BTC halving season meaning that I won't have to hold for too long this is the smarter decision
Hold is only effective for long term, if i can hold ETH and BTC from 2015 of course i can buy a lot of things or even retire, back then i had around 1100 ETH which i got with faucetbox and cloud mining and bought it for under $2. now I will buy and hold BNB and MATIC hopefully in 5 years it can go up at least 50x from the current price.
