How much is your budget?
If it's not that much, buy bitcoin.
But if you've got a good sum of money to invest, better to have both of it. You divide their parts but if I'll be buying both, I'll be having more bitcoin and then maybe 30% for Eth from the total budget.

Whatever you choose, it should be the best for you. You're choosing the two of the best in the market so there's should not be any problem with that.
It's just the matter of budgeting and choosing the percentage of how much you're going to buy for either both of them or just one of them.
