Coz you have wasted a lot of money to pay the non sense fees that will make the miners even richer. As a user and you get rekt by wasting a lot of your money that can be used to buy some foods just to pay the greedy miners in ethereum network.
The fees caused by ethereum blockchain is slow as fuck. This blockchain is the slowest blockchain right now. Paying more to be in the priority block. that's what people did.
