It’s very difficult for a blockchain to literally die.
Marginal cost of runnning a validator are low, so eventually there will always be a validator.
This doesn’t mean the project is alive.

Yes, you are right at this stage of time, the project is more dead than alive, and many have become coin holders because of airdrop and apparently will remain them, including me
