ESTCube2 is a project ran by an Estonian satellite organisation made up of space enthusiasts and students. Their mission is to launch their new innovative satellite to space in Q4 2022.
The main goal of the ESTCube project is to develop, build and launch scientific nano-satellite missions. In addition to technical challenges, the project aims to promote and popularise science in schools and among the public.
Maarja Pärt, Yolo Group CEO said: “Finding innovative solutions has always been embedded in Yolo Group’s DNA and working with the ESTCube team has provided the perfect opportunity to do so.”

Can you please elaborate on the reasons for doing that? I simply don't understand the utility of this step. I know that some blockchains try to established nodes on low orbit, for example, but as far as I understand, this is not the same case.
