Same here. When I was still a newbie im really afraid when the price is starting to go down. Im thinking maybe I will lose my money, thus selling before the price decline further is what I think is the only solution. But as time goes by I learned to be patient and never panic in times the price is declining. Hence, now, I used to seeing the price turning ups and down and it doesnt affect me negatively. You wont lose anything unless you sell.

We don't lose bitcoin when the price goes down, but we just have a sell price drop
[up or down] so we may still be profiting in the long term or will still see the price drop in the short term. So we can call it almost the same as other physical asset investments, only bitcoin is not controlled by any authority which makes its price rise and fall uncontrollably.
