Hero member vs Legendary, what is actually the difference?

What does a Legendary do that the Hero member is barred from doing?

In most signature campaigns, the rates are the same. And the signature too are the same. A Hero member can also be a merit source same as Legendary. So for me, it doesn't take anything away.

Getting to Hero member is prestigious. But since the introduction of the merit system, there are indications that the forum is now making the Legendary status an exclusive one, not just because of activity and the amount of merit you acquire. That way, you have to as much as you are working to gather merits, work to understand what will guarantee your passage from Hero to Legendary.
Believe it or not, but not every user is primarily here because of signature campaigns, although they're definitely a nice addition to participating in the forum, they're by no means the primary reason we're here. Ranks, and merit mean pretty much nothing, especially rank. Merit at least has some indicator that a user has had their posts appreciated by others, but rank isn't an indicator to anything, with airdropped merit.
