I don't know about you but for me I will only hold coins for long term if we see a unforgiving bear market ( better buying opportunity ), I believe bear market hold the key to long term holding, I can't buy coins at high price sorry ( present market is buying at high price) and decide to hold for years, I will only buy now to sell later ( short term ).. stupid idea? Let's hear your thoughts
Personally I utilizes the knowledge of charting technique to avoid buying at the top, Bollinger Band indicator has been always helpful, I also bear in mind that the upper bank is profit taking zones, meanwhile it combination with stochastic oscillator also help me to buy at dip with reference to weekly chart timeframe of BTC/USD especially when an exhaustion candle had been formed all these I put together as a strategy, thus the opportunity of buying at the dip is unveil though this requires a lot learning and research.
