Exactly! Automation does not at all bring any advantage to either the player or the casino,,, the player can still gamble and as someone mentioned above expose themselves less to variance, while casinos can see higher turnover which of course in long term leads to more revenue. I don't use auto bets because I feel the adrenaline will be less with the auto rolls but it different for every individuals.
