I know they have become one of the richest teams in the Premier League but at the moment they have not proven that their status significantly affects the team's performance. Next 2-3 seasons we will see good impact from their big investment, but if they have to accept the reality of being relegated then things will never go well.
The most important thing for them this season is to stay in the Premier League and start looking for more suitable players to fill the first team next season. If they fail to stay in the Premier League this season then the difficulty they will face in getting good players will increase.
