First to make sure you are free of STDs, then you are tested for diseases and chronic illnesses, any genetic traits that could be passed along to the baby, and you are also evaluated based in IQ/your job. They aren't going to take sperm from Cletus the high school dropout with an IQ of 89. They will take it from the 6 foot tall Fabrisio who is a doctor with an IQ of 140 and no family history of health conditions.
